In Latin America, many people believe that the souls of the dead return each year on Dia de los muertos to visit their loved ones. To welcome them back the living prepare commemorative altars with symbolic ofrendas. In addition, people decorate grave sites or an area in their home to remember and welcome back their souls. This year we are taking the time to honor and celebrate the souls who made an impact in our neighborhoods by inviting members of the community to create altars in their memory.
If you would like to participate, please fill out this form and we will get back to you to confirm your altar.
